繼Whatsapp更新私隱條款，令不少用戶轉會到Signal後，有印度研究員發現，任何人都可以在Google 搜尋中，找到 WhatsApp 用戶的電話號碼。印度網絡保安研究員（Rajshekhar Rajaharia）相信用戶使用電腦版WhatsApp時，引發到私隱問題，更提供多張照片引證。
